QUALITY

Quality is at the center of everything we produce at Midway Swiss Turn. Our shop uses an ERP system that aligns our processes to be ISO compliant and supports controlled, repeatable workflows for every part we manufacture. As a CMMC Level 1 certified machining supplier, our quality controls, documentation, and data handling practices meet the standards required for defense and government programs.

Every job, whether new or repeat, begins with a first article approval process. Once the first article is verified and approved, the production run proceeds on the same machine to maintain process stability and consistent dimensional accuracy.

During production, we conduct continuous in-process inspections combined with random quality checks throughout the run. All measurements are recorded to confirm that critical features and tolerances remain within specification for the entire batch. To ensure proper flow and control, we use a two-pan system, which helps maintain accountability and prevents parts from progressing until they meet all requirements.

Our quality team focuses on accuracy, traceability, and repeatability, supporting customers across defense, medical, industrial, and OEM markets where high precision and strict compliance are essential.

Inspection Equipment

Our inspection tools allow us to verify close-tolerance Swiss turned parts and precision CNC components with accuracy and repeatable results.

  • J & L Comparator
  • Hardness Tester
  • Keyence Optical Measuring Device
  • Oasis Inspection System
  • Profilometer
  • Calipers
  • Micrometers
  • Pitch Micrometers
  • Ring and Thread Gages
  • Pin Gages

This equipment supports our ability to measure surface finish, dimensional accuracy, threads, form, and material properties across a wide range of machined components.

Typical Parts

We inspect and verify components across many industries, including precision Swiss turned parts and complex CNC machined features. Typical parts include:

  • Stems
  • Bleed valves
  • Worm gears
  • Specialized screws
  • Shafts
  • Fittings
  • Nuts
  • Contact pins

These represent common examples, but we regularly support customers with unique, complex, or tight-tolerance components requiring detailed inspection and documentation.

Assembly

We offer light in-house assembly for parts we machine, helping customers consolidate steps and simplify their supply chain. Assemblies are inspected to ensure proper fit, alignment, and function before shipment.

Finishing

Through trusted finishing partners, we can supply fully completed parts that meet your final specifications. Available finishing processes include:

  • Heat treating
  • Plating
  • Polishing and cosmetic finishing

We manage the complete process and inspect finished parts to confirm that all requirements are met before delivery.
